10 – Linssen Grand Sturdy 450 AC Variotop
Linssen celebrates its 70th anniversary this year and the new 450 AC is equipped with one of the yard’s finest inventions of the last seven decades: the convertible Variotop roof. This beautifully engineered canvas hood glides open at the touch of a button and allows the wheelhouse to effortlessly switch from snug and sheltered to bright and open. This is – and will remain – the smallest Linssen with the Variotop available.
The boat borrows the layout of the flagship GS 500 and scales it down to just over 45ft, including a spacious ensuite cabin at either end with a bright, comfortable saloon and comprehensive galley amidships.
Weighing in at 22.5 tonnes and propelled by a pair of 110hp Volvos, progress will be steady, serene and eerily quiet, and though
a 10-knot top speed is possible it’s best to slip along in single figures and let the world slowly drift by.

9 – Absolute 62 Fly
The 62 Fly may use the hull of the 60 but this is more than a spruce up of an existing model. The 62 has an all-new interior with fresh materials and new furniture plus a shift of the galley on the main deck, which moves from a position amidships to a new location just inside the cockpit doors.
The exterior has been freshened up and brought into line with more modern models in the flybridge range. The saloon and topsides are packed with extra glass to coax natural light into the comfortable
and well-finished three-cabin interior. IPS950 with 725hp per side remains for a top speed of 31 knots and a fast cruise of 27.

8 – Bénéteau Flyer 10
Beneteau hasn’t always got it right with the styling of the latest Flyer range but the new flagship appears to be right on the money. Its lines are clean and attractive and the deck layout perfect for enjoying days on the water with the family.
There are four forward-facing seats protected by the wraparound windscreen and a dinette aft served by a dinky wet bar. Access to port leads through the windscreen to the foredeck where there are three comfortable recliners on which
to relax and soak up the sun. Below decks there is sleeping space for four across the convertible
dinette forward and separate double amidships. In between there is a decent bathroom that even includes a separate shower stall.
With Beneteau’s usual eye on value for money this looks to be a fine package.

7 – Galeon 425 HTS
The innovative 425 HTS is an all-new model in Galeon’s sportscruiser range and it’s essentially a scaled-down version of the striking 485 HTS.
Available with a selection of Volvo Penta sterndrive engines up to twin D6 370s or IPS500s, the 425 features a two-cabin,
two-bathroom interior and a versatile main deck with a sliding sunroof overhead and drop-down windows either side.
The cockpit doors slide and lift to neatly
merge the main deck together, and the aft dinette, which sits atop a tender garage can quickly be converted to a sun pad.

6 – Brabus Shadow 500
A year on from the first ever Brabus Marine product — the Shadow 800 — being launched, the second one will make its worldwide debut at Boot 2019. Based on the fabulous Axopar 28 T-top, the Shadow 500 (referencing the combined horsepower from its Mercury Verados) will get the full Brabus treatment including the gunmetal-grey painted hull, vibrant red upholstery and a more plush interior.
This high-end garnish will only serve to improve the award-winning Axopar 28 that lies underneath. The Shadow retains the talented twin-stepped hull and practical deck layout with five forward-facing seats, a large sunpad with a double cabin beneath and dinette up front. Like the original Shadow 800, only 28 units will be built initially, so take your cheque book!

5 – Marex 360 CC
Marex claims there isn’t a boat under 40ft that has a cockpit as large as the one on its new 360 CC. This Cabriolet Cruiser focuses on putting living space on the main deck with the area below dedicated solely to sleeping and a bathroom. The pair of double cabins, separated by a decent heads with separate shower, have comfortable sleeping room for four people but it is possible to sit up to ten people around the dinette on deck.
This says much about how the boat will be used and it’s bursting with clever touches like the twin sunroofs overhead, canopies that tuck away into the uprights and a galley that spans the beam of the boat.
It should go well, too, with the twin Volvo D4 300s reportedly good for 37 knots.

4 -Nimbus T11
The T11 is the first of a new range of 12m craft that will eventually include an open Weekender version (which looks tremendous) and an enclosed Commuter with a proper wheelhouse, echoing the 9m range that was launched at the show last year.
The T is billed as a tender but in reality its substantial T-top, well-protected helm and clever modular seating in the cockpit
will make it a superb day boat. Accommodation is decent enough for longer stays, with a separate double cabin
and bathroom forward and another double bed tucked amidships.
Seakeeping and performance are a major focus, hence the twin-stepped hull and engine options ranging from twin outboards to a pair of inboard diesels or 430hp petrol sterndrives.

3 – Greenline NEO
Tipped to be one of the boats of the show, the Greenline NEO attempts to take versatility to a new level for a 35-footer. Firstly, it’s available in three distinct styles: Open, Coupe and Hard Top, which has a solid roof but open back and sides. All are available either with a cabin and separate bathroom forward or, for day boaters, a deep, safe bow rider section.
With twin 300hp petrols, top speed is over 40 knots. The eDrive with twin 80hp Torqeedo Deep Blue electric outboards will do 16 knots flat out.

2 – Sealine C390
Plugging the gap between C330 and C430, the C390 has been designed to combine the fun and dynamics of the former with the space and comfort of the latter. At just over 41ft it’s a bold decision to fit the boat with sterndrives mated to either Volvo D4 300s or D6 370s. Should be fun, though, with engaging handling and a top speed just shy of 35 knots.
Despite having an enclosed wheelhouse the C390 can be opened up to the elements and the main deck transformed into one giant living space. This trick has been used on the other C models. The cockpit window lifts and doors fold to create a broad opening without
a threshold to negotiate, and there is a sunroof over the saloon and the cockpit. A dropped side deck grants superb access down the starboard side and an optional side door at the helm makes single-handed crewing that much easier. To maximise space in the cockpit the optional BBQ and sink is installed on the transom.
The lower deck is equally flexible with the option of having three cabins and two bathrooms if sleeping space is a concern. The most indulgent layout puts a double ensuite forward with another sharing space amidships with a void that can be a walk-in wardrobe or a utility space.

1 – Princess F45
Princess will debut its entry-level flybridge model. Granted, £650,000 is a lot for an ‘entry-level’ boat but its spec is far superior to the ageing 43 it replaces. It uses IPS600 and two large ensuite cabins share the space on the lower deck, including a full-beam master cabin.
At just over 47ft, room on deck is at a premium but there are clever touches to boost living space like the seating module aft, which moves back 40cm to increase the size of the cockpit. The flybridge is compact, with a double helm, wide dinette and wetbar.
