Boat Fail: Boat feels the power of a wave

Donzi slams in to water cracking the hull

It might have seemed like a swell idea at the time, but this week’s boat fail shows that in a man versus nature contest there was only going to be one winner.

Speed, dynamic handling and precision balance were all present in the magnificent 45 degree wave that gave this Donzi 35ZR powerboat a rough ride.

The 35ft boat, which is manufactured in the US and capable of 90mph, proved to be no match for the Pacific roller. Thankfully all the crew survived, but the hull was severely damaged.
