Video: Three classic speedsters go head to head in Fletcher group test

In our latest video, Nick Burnham finds out that you can have a lot of fun on a classic speedboat without spending much more than £1,000

Our latest video is something of a cheap thrills special, as Nick Burnham tries out three used Fletcher speedboats.

He aims to prove the old adage, once and for all: it’s not the size it’s what you do with it that counts.

Nick gets behind the helm of a tiny Fletcher Arrowflight 140, which is packed with a 90bhp Mercury engine to ensure rocket-like performance.

Next up is a Fletcher Arrowstreet 160 with an 80bhp Mercury outboard – this classic speedster can be picked up for as little as £1,000 and loses none of the fun for being so affordable.

Finally, the largest model on test is a 2000 Fletcher Arrowbolt 21 with an inboard Mercruiser engine, which delivers 203bhp and a highly enjoyable ride.
