For a start, it has a great saloon, with a well-planned galley, dinette, helm, and lobby combined in a light and airy space. There’s no sense of anything being shoe-horned into place, which is quite impressive when you consider the space available.
A few changes would improve life onboard, such as redesigning the awkward drawers, changing the uncomfortable backrests, and repositioning the engine instruments. But in general, the details have been well thought out, and the mahogany woodwork is finished to a high standard.
On the engineering front, there were plenty of plus points. I doubt that many of us enjoy servicing and checking, so the remote siting of much of the equipment in the accessible lazarette is really sensible. And the propeller gets useful protection from the small keel.
However, there is still a question mark over the stRange whirring sound coming from the lazarette. And prospective buyers should check that the
heel to port at Speed although slight is just a curious anomaly restricted to this particular test boat.
